The renewable energy producers, since, approximately nine months ago have been suffering a direct attack campaign of loss of prestige from both the big electricity companies and those publishing companies close to government. They want us to relieve that all the problems that the Electricity Sector problems are our fault. The public opinion is being deceived by saying that this kind of energy is a luxury that in this time of crisis can´t be afforded by the country. The truth is that they have being paving the way to justify the new measures the Government wants to take, changing the terms of a Royal Decree that will fold this sector, already paralyzed months ago in view of the raising uncertainty around it. I think it´s the moment to act against this situation, make our voice to be listened and tell the true story. I´m aware of the negotiations between the employers’ organizations and Ministry of Industry high-ranking positions. But apart from this important battle held within offices, we have to reach public opinion, the man in the street, and let them know we are not responsible for the increase of electricity bill, they are not looking to the future. Our country has pledged it´s firm commitment to the renewable energies and now this government can not give in to the pressure from the big electricity companies that see how there profits could be cut down as these renewable energies enter the electricity pool. It´s not only addressed to companies of the sector, but to private, we must be able to change peoples’ mind about that renewables are not profitable and make them ask themselves: for who aren´t they profitable?
